3 Days in San Diego: City, Parks & Coast
Three days lets you see San Diego's main sides at a comfortable pace. The first day covers the bay and downtown, from the USS Midway to the Gaslamp Quarter. The second is devoted to Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo, and the third heads up the coast to La Jolla and Torrey Pines. Each day stays within one area to minimize travel time. If you prefer the beach to the zoo, swap day two for a day on Coronado.
Day 01
The Bay, the Midway & the Gaslamp
Navy history, maritime icons and the historic downtown along San Diego Bay.
Morning

Afternoon
Seaport Village & waterfront parks
Head back south along the water to Seaport Village and the waterfront parks, where you can watch sailboats, Navy ships and planes crossing the bay.

Day 03
La Jolla & Torrey Pines
Sea lions, coves, cliffs and the rare pines of the coast north of the city.
